Sri Lanka has something for every taste all year round.
In February, the climate is predominantly mild throughout Sri Lanka. However, due to the country’s geographic location close to the equator, there is a risk of downpours throughout the year.
February is the perfect month to climb Little Adams Peak or Lion Rock (Sigiriya) as there is less likelihood of muddy, slippery paths and poor visibility due to rain.
If you love animals, February is also an excellent month to go on safari in Sri Lanka, as you may be lucky enough to spot leopards, elephants, bears, etc. If you’re going to Mirissa, there is also the option of going whale watching.
